Catamount Ski Area is just 10 minutes south, a beautiful drive down the valley, and offers the best skiing in the southern Berkshires.

The terrain is for all levels of skiers, with a vertical drop of over 1000 feet, and great trailing grooming and snow making. Even a snob like Deborah (who grew up skiing in New Hampshire) thinks this mountain is great!

The Boston Symphony Orchestra spends the summer nearby at Tanglewood, in Lenox, Massachusetts in the heart of the Berkshires, "America's premier cultural resort."

In July and August the Symphony performs each Friday and Saturday evening, and on Sunday afternoon. During the week, chamber music, recitals and performances by the students at the Tanglewood Institute round out the schedule.
